* Wesley H. Wolfe; Port Hueneme Base Engineer
Wesley H. Wolfe of Ventura, a former Port Hueneme naval base engineer, died Thursday. He was 77.
Wolfe was born June 12, 1920, in Sydney, Mont., and lived in Nebraska until he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in October 1941.
After training, he served in the South Pacific as a flight engineer and mechanic for 3 1/2 years.
After his military discharge, he worked for the Cadillac agency in Sioux City, Iowa, until 1955 and then moved to Ventura, where he worked at the Port Hueneme base until 1985.
Wolfe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth; four sisters; and one brother.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 365 S. Seaward Ave., Ventura.
Funeral services will follow at the church with the Rev. Dan Hull officiating.
Burial will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
