Cal State Fullerton has been awarded several grants totaling nearly $2.5 million over the next four years for programs to train students for research careers in biomedical and other scientific fields.
The programs are:
* Minority Student Development, a program to increase the number of underrepresented ethnic minority science majors by providing students with jobs as researchers.
* Bridges to the Doctoral Degree, designed for minority students who obtain master’s degrees in biological science, chemistry or biochemistry.
* Research Experience for Undergraduates, a 10-week summer program that enables 10 students to conduct full-time research with faculty members.
