KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kay Whitmore stopped 33 shots and John Byce scored two goals as the Long Beach Ice Dogs defeated the Kansas City Blades, 6-1, Wednesday in an IHL playoff game that gave them a 2-1 edge in a Western Conference semifinal series.
