A woman whose two toddlers were killed by a commuter train while she was asleep has been arrested again for investigation of being under the influence of methamphetamine, officials said Thursday.

Jackie Robles, 22, was taken into custody Wednesday in a motel room along with a man and two 17-year-old boys. Deputies served a warrant there because Robles failed to appear in court on a shoplifting charge, authorities said.

She was booked on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, failure to appear in court and being under the influence of drugs.

It was Robles’ fourth arrest since October, when her daughters, Deziree Soto, 21 months, and Alexes Robles, 3, wandered out of their apartment and were hit and killed by a Metrolink commuter train. Drug tests revealed that Robles had a small amount of methamphetamine in her system on the day of the accident, but prosecutors declined to file charges.

In March, Robles’ 90-day jail sentence for being under the influence of methamphetamine and driving under the influence of drugs was suspended pending her successful completion of a six-month inpatient drug treatment program.
