A motorcyclist was fatally injured when he hit a manhole while riding through a construction site at Lindley Avenue and Saticoy Street, authorities said Friday.
Edward Howlett, 32, of Reseda, was not wearing a helmet when his Harley-Davidson bike crashed at 11 p.m. Thursday, said Officer J. Leonard of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
Howlett suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Leonard said.
