A note-passing bank robber made off with $7,000 Friday morning, police said.
The unidentified man entered the Sumitomo Bank in the 5400 block of Orangethorpe Avenue about 10:30 a.m.
He did not use a weapon but instead gave a teller a note demanding money, according to police.
The police were called, but the robber fled on foot, running through the bank’s parking lot. No employees or customers of the bank were injured in the incident.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact La Palma Police Department detectives at (714) 423-4552.
