A Fullerton man was stabbed to death on a residential street in La Habra on Saturday evening after a loud argument, police said.

As of late Saturday night, investigators were trying to determine a motive in the slaying of the 21-year-old man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family. No arrests had been made, said La Habra Police Lt. Jerry Cline.

Cline said neighbors near Walnut Street and Rye Circle called police about 6 p.m. to report a loud fight in the street. By the time police arrived, the victim had been taken by a bystander to Friendly Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“We don’t know what sparked the argument or why the victim was in that neighborhood,” said Cline.
