From Times Wire Reports

Crowds celebrating the end of the school year at Miami University spilled into the streets of Oxford, climbing onto roofs and throwing bottles in what police said was the campus’ first major disturbance since the Vietnam War. Police arrested 22 people during the second night of violence near the school in the southwestern part of the state. Twenty-three people were arrested early Friday, the last day of final exams. About 200 people hit the streets after bars closed early, and it took police about an hour to break up the crowd. One officer suffered minor injuries when he was hit on the hand by a bottle. Miami is the third Ohio university hit by student disturbances this spring. Forty people were charged after a disturbance April 5 at Ohio University, and 71 were charged because of a celebration last weekend at the University of Akron.
