Stanford said council members expect to make an appointment by the beginning of June. “Both of them bring a wealth of experience,” he said.

“Azusa has unique potential for becoming a centerpiece in the San Gabriel Valley and I am honored for being considered to have part in that revitalization,” Cole said.

Schock, 45, has served as the No. 2 official in the city of Alhambra for nearly six years. “I have 14 years of experience in local government. This is next logical step,”
