King Frees 2 Britons in Nurse’s Slaying
From Times Wire Reports
Two British nurses convicted in the 1996 killing of an Australian colleague in the eastern city of Dhahran were freed by King Fahd. Deborah Parry, 39, and Lucille McLauchlan, 32, left on a flight to Britain after the king commuted their sentences and ordered them released. A Saudi court convicted Parry in August of killing Yvonne Gilford, 55. McLauchlan was found guilty in September of assisting in the killing.
