Supervisor Mikels Names Chief of Staff
County Supervisor Judy Mikels promoted her aide, Keith Jajko, to chief of her staff as part of an office reorganization this week.
Jajko, who served as Mikels’ administrative assistant for the last three years, replaced top advisor Connie Clay on Monday. Clay has a new job directing one of the county’s one-stop job centers, which were recently created to address welfare reform.
“I am saddened to lose Connie Clay, but grateful that the county can continue to benefit from her human resources talents,” Mikels said in a statement. “Luckily, I have Keith Jajko, who has been in and around the Fourth District and its communities for many years and can do the job well.”
Jajko--who represents Mikels in western Simi Valley, Moorpark and Somis--has been a Simi Valley resident for 21 years and serves on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley and the Simi Valley Friends of the Library.
Mikels has hired Jason Oliver, a former intern for Assemblywoman Paula Boland and state Sen. Cathie Wright, to fill Jajko’s old job.
