Reagan’s First Office
With regard to Brian Lowry’s April 28 article on two competing TV miniseries on the Reagans, I would bet that both of them will leave out the first office to which Ronald Reagan was publicly elected. Even the official biographers miss this one: It was in 1961 to the board of directors of the Topanga-Las Virgenes Resource Conservation District (now the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains).
