Venegas Is Winner in Scratch Main

Charlie Venegas of San Bernardino won the four-lap scratch main of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 6,330 Saturday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Chris Manchester of Rancho Cucamonga won the handicap main event, coming off the 50 yard-line. Brea’s Shawn McConnell, who also came off the 50, was second.

San Juan Capistrano’s Brad Oxley finished fourth in the handicap and was third in the scratch event.
