Key Gain for Top-Ranked Buckeyes
Ohio State became the second most popular No. 1 team in the history of The Associated Press’ Top 25 college football poll.
The Buckeyes (8-0), after a 38-7 victory over Indiana, easily held the top spot for the ninth consecutive regular-season poll. It also marks the 72nd week in which Ohio State has been ranked No. 1 since the AP poll began in 1936. Notre Dame tops the list with 94 No. 1 rankings. Ohio State had been tied with Oklahoma.

Back in the top 10 for the second time this season, the Arizona Wildcats are uncertain what their fate may hold as far as postseason is concerned.
But one thing is for sure: With three regular-season games to go, they are at the top of their game.
Arizona’s 38-3 rout of Oregon pushed the Wildcats up three spots to No. 10 in the Associated Press poll. The loss knocked the Ducks from No. 12 to No. 21.
Arizona is 8-1 for the season and has won 12 of 13 dating to last season.
