‘Vampires’ Opens on Top; ‘Antz’ Sets Mark

In keeping with the season, “John Carpenter’s Vampires” pulled in $9.1 million to debut at No. 1.

“Antz” became the highest-grossing non-Disney animated film with $67.8 million, beating out “Beavis and Butt-head Do America” ($63 million).

“American History X” took in $156,076 in limited release.
