Fifth-Grade Class Needs a Ride to the Opera
I am writing this letter in the hope that a good Samaritan will read it and come to the aid of my fifth-grade class at Vermont Avenue Elementary School.
We need a bus to take us to the Dec. 11 L.A. Opera production of “Fantastic Mr. Fox.”
My class was chosen to see it, but we have no transportation.
Our school has no bus and my councilman is unable to help us since he has already given our school a bus for trips twice this year.
We are trying to raise money ourselves, but $300 is a lot of money and we have only a few weeks to do so.
