Simi Valley Boys & Girls Club Honored

* The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley won three Program Excellence awards at the Tri-County Council Board Leadership Forum in San Diego. The club won a Membership Outreach Co-Award for a benefit concert presented by club members; a Personal and Educational Development award for its Helping Hands program, in which members visit and interact with residents of a senior center; and a Social Recognition award for Phat Friday’s, a weekly activity for middle school students.

Youth Club Council Salutes Board Member * Donna Bulchalter of Ventura received the Board Member of the Year award from Boys & Girls Club of America Coastal Area Council. Bulchalter became a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Ventura in 1988 and has served as its president since 1994. She was honored for her “tireless work for teen programs for club members.”
