DANA POINT
The Dana Point/Capistrano Beach Historical Society will celebrate the grand opening of its new museum Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting event with Mayor Bill Ossenmacher at 3 p.m.
The society had been leasing a room at the city offices for $1 a year, according to Bob Moore, a director and spokesman for the society. But City Council members ended the arrangement earlier this year when an insurance company offered to pay market-rate rent for the space.
The new Historical Museum is at 34085 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 104.
