President Clinton watched Korean traditional songs and dances after a state banquet in Seoul on Saturday and then unexpectedly dropped in on his brother, Roger, who was performing with a rhythm and blues band a few blocks away.

One minute the president was shaking hands with demure female performers dressed in traditional outfits at the end of their show at the presidential Blue House.

Almost immediately thereafter, he was hugging Roger Clinton on the stage of the Sejong Cultural Center and shaking hands with members of the band.

It was an unscheduled stop on Clinton’s itinerary in South Korea, where he is spending two days during a five-day tour of East Asia.

“I have someone special to me in my life. I want to introduce to you, my brother, President Bill Clinton,” Roger Clinton said after belting out “On Shaky Ground” and “What I Wouldn’t Do for Love,” delighting the audience by saying thank you in Korean at the end of each number.

Clinton then entered from backstage and hugged his brother in front of the band as the packed crowd of 3,900 gave them a standing ovation.

Clinton stayed briefly but did not address the crowd. He then led his entourage out into a snowy night and back to his hotel.
