Davis Won’t Play in Puerto Rico

Share

Baron Davis practiced with the Bruins again Wednesday and has shown progress, but the sophomore point guard has been declared out for the three games of the Puerto Rico Shootout, which begins today.

All parties continue to avoid setting a target date for his return from the torn knee ligament and subsequent reconstructive surgery. But Coach Steve Lavin said Davis played well in two recent scrimmages. Earl Watson will continue to start at point guard. He had 15 points, five assists and five turnovers last Thursday against Santa Clara.
