Bruins Power Past Nebraska

Maylana Martin scored 16 points and No. 12 UCLA used strong inside scoring to beat No. 24 Nebraska, 85-67, Friday in the second game of the Rainbow Wahine tournament in Honolulu.
Marie Philman and Janae Hubbard each had 15 points for the Bruins (2-2), who play No. 5 North Carolina today.
Brooke Schwartz had a game-high 22 points for Nebraska (3-1), which missed many layups and open shots en route to 39% shooting.
UCLA opened the second half with a 9-4 run, including seven points by Philman to increase its lead to 53-36. The Bruins led, 71-46, with 7:30 remaining in the game.
