Bellagio Policy

Regarding “Luxe Vegas” (Oct. 25): I believe that the reviewer should have told the reader that it is the policy of the Bellagio hotel to forbid entrance to persons under 18, unless they are staying in the hotel. This applies to all public areas, including the shops, lobbies, restaurants and, most importantly, the art exhibit. A security guard rudely insisted that my wife wait on the sidewalk with our 3-year-old grandchild while I retrieved the car. We later returned to the exhibit ourselves and were disappointed with the venue.

You should emphasize that the collection of art is ensconced in a viewing area that would have scarcely accommodated three craps tables, and with the size of the crowds in this broom closet of a museum, it is only possible to view the art from a distance of 3 feet, an impossible way to view an Impressionist canvas.
