* The 16th annual San Francisco Jazz Festival, Oct. 29-Nov. 8, presents concerts, club shows, jazz cruises, dance parties, free educational events and exhibits at venues all over town. Performers include vocalists Al Jarreau and Diana Krall, saxophonist Joshua Redman, right, pop icon Rosemary Clooney, pianists Fred Hersch and Andy Bey, vibraphonist Milt Jackson, the Mingus Big Band, salsa greats Marc Anthony and El Gran Combo, and more. * Produced by the same group as the 6-year-old Art Chicago (Thomas Blackman Associates, Inc.), the San Francisco International Art Exhibition makes its debut this weekend, Oct. 2-4, at the Fort Mason Center in the Herbst and Festival pavilions. The juried exposition will present art work in all media from 100 contemporary and modern artists, including John Baldessari, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Richard Diebenkorn, Cindy Sherman and Andy Warhol.
