Williams Moves to Senior VP at Western

* W. Michael Williams has been named senior vice president and general manager of Western Digital Corp.’s Enterprise Storage group. Williams succeeds Matthew Massengill, who last month was appointed executive vice president and general manager of the Personal Storage division. Williams joined Western Digital from Adaptec, where he was vice president, engineering, storage systems. Prior to that, he was vice president, engineering and a founder of Ridge Technologies, a manufacturer of storage systems, and spent 10 years with Apple Computer.

* Richard W. Gross has been named vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Balboa Capital Corp., a leasing and finance company in Irvine. Gross was senior vice president of finance at Interpool Inc, an intermodal equipment leasing company.

* Beth J. Schilling has been named vice president, corporate business development for CoCensys Inc. in Irvine, a developer of products to treat neurological and psychiatric disorders. She had been vice president of U.S. therapeutics marketing at Allergan Inc. Del Stagg has been appointed director of regulatory affairs and quality assurance. From 1993 to 1998, he was director, global regulatory affairs at Allergan. In addition, Robert R. Holmen, the company’s general counsel, was given the additional title of vice president.

* Jim LeSieur, president and chief executive of Sunwest Bank in Tustin, has been elected to the board of directors of West Coast Bancorp, the parent company. LeSieur, who has been with the bank since 1975, was named president and chief executive in 1991.

* Wendy P. Rianda has been appointed director of compliance and general counsel for First Alliance Corp. in Irvine. She joined the company from Amresco Residential Mortgage Corp., where she was senior legal counsel and director of compliance.

* Tim Hinds has joined SK&A; Information Services Inc. in Irvine as Western regional sales manager. He was formerly regional sales manager for CMG Direct Inc.

* Brian Theodore has been named national sales manager for Road Warrior International in Santa Ana, a supplier of accessories for portable computers. He was previously general manager for the Merit Group in Torrance, and senior consultant for Peterson Consulting Limited Partnership in Los Angeles.

* Sharon F. Nelson has joined Tinseltown Studios, the Anaheim dinner attraction, in the newly created position of director of meeting and convention sales. She was formerly convention services manager at the Anaheim Visitor and Convention Bureau.

* Raymond A. Polverini has been appointed vice president of CT Realty Corp. in Newport Beach, and assistant to the president. Polverini was previously vice president of development for RSM Management Co., the master developer of Rancho Santa Margarita, and before that, vice president of development for Socaland Development in Orange.

* Anders Vinberg and Barry Sullivan have joined the board of directors of StarBase Corp. in Santa Ana. Vinberg is senior vice president of research and development for Computer Associates International. Sullivan was an executive with Electronic Data Corp. from 1971 until his retirement in 1998.

* Robert Klausner has been named senior vice president and general merchandising manager for Clothestime Stores Inc., an Anaheim-based operator of 257 women’s apparel stores. He succeeds Barry Herman, who has returned to retirement after having served as the company’s vice president and general merchandising manager since February 1997. Klausner was formerly vice president of store operations. Before joining Clothestime in 1991, he spent 10 years with Hit Or Miss. In addition, Wendy Hull was named senior director of stores. She was previously regional sales director.

* Tom Zowarka has been appointed vice president-senior national accounts underwriter for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. He will oversee underwriting for multi-county and multi-state transactions. Zowarka had been national title underwriter since 1985.

* Kristine Briggs has been named an account executive at Morgan Marketing & Public Relations in Irvine. She was previously an account executive for Amies Communications in Irvine.

* James C. Schulte has joined TouchStone Software Corp. in Huntington Beach as director of engineering. Schulte had been director of engineering at NetManage.

* D. Glen Raiger has been named president, chief executive and member of the board of directors of MicroSepTec Inc., a Laguna Hills development stage company. He was formerly president of the international division of the Koll Cos. and chairman and chief executive of their Asia Pacific Co.
