Roommate Sought After Body Is Found in Grave

The female roommate of a man found buried in a shallow grave last week is being sought for questioning, authorities said Monday.

Christina Marie White, 29--who also uses the name Timi Vaughn--is not a suspect in the case, but detectives believe she “may have knowledge about the murder,” said Martin Rodriguez, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy.

Rodriguez said White, who also is being sought on unrelated charges of embezzling “large amounts of money,” is one of the Los Angeles Police Department’s most wanted fugitives.

The partially decomposed body, found in a grave on a property off Topanga Canyon Boulevard, had been buried about a week. The man has not yet been identified.

Rodriguez said detectives believe the dead man had been romantically involved with White.

The body was found last Wednesday by the property’s landlord, sheriff’s investigators said. They said the landlord detected a bad odor and saw the grave.

White was last seen by the landlord at the house about a week before the body was found, according to investigators.
