Conejo Schools Bond Measure
As we quickly approach election day, I hope voters are reflecting deeply on Measure R, the bond that proposes funding for only the most critical repairs and updates in the Conejo Valley Unified School District schools.
The children who are absorbing our community efforts to place them in a position of priority are the same people who one day will run our communities while we in our elder years expect them to place our care in high priority. All that goes around comes around. Some of our schools are in shameful disrepair and require essential updates. Neglecting to fund these projects will begin to jeopardize our competitive edge in education.
I think the School Board in its humanness makes decisions we may not agree with, and no one wants additional taxes, but let’s not punish the innocent.
