Hip-Hop Albums Debut at the Top
Three hip-hop albums debuted in the top three positions on both the Southern California and national sales charts, topped locally by A Tribe Called Quest’s “farewell” album. Sheryl Crow’s “The Globe Sessions” also made a Top 5 entrance, while Dru Hill finally dislodged Monica’s “First Night” from the No. 1 spot on the singles chart.
