Easing Freeway Snarls
Re “Assemblyman Urges Work to Ease 405 / 101 Freeway Snarls,” Oct. 7.
Assemblyman Wally Knox doesn’t see the solution right before his eyes [photo, reprinted above]. The largest set of doubles, two 40-foot trailers plus a 15-foot cab, takes up the space of five cars.
Keep those trucks off the freeway (the 101, the I-5 and the 405) from 6 to 9:30 a.m. and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. There is no need to spend $10 million for a new lane.
