Sandpiper Networks Adds CEO to Executive Board

Sandpiper Networks in Westlake Village has appointed Deborah Triant Rieman, chief executive officer and president of Check Point Software Technologies, to its executive board of directors.

Officials said that Rieman, a leading authority on the Internet and enterprise security, has more than 17 years of experience in the software industry. In her current position, she is responsible for worldwide sales, marketing, business development and support for Check Point, a provider of security and traffic management solutions.

Rieman also serves on the board of directors for Altera Corp., and she was named one of the “Top 10 Women in Technology” by Working Woman magazine and one of “Twenty Executives to Watch” by Computer Reseller News.

Sandpiper recently launched a distribution service called Footprint for publishers that is designed to help them avoid incurring additional capital and administrative costs.
