Computer Firm Reopens After Chain’s Departure

Share

A Canoga Park computer company that was the on-site service center for Inca Computer Co. is back in business on its own now that the Detroit-based chain has pulled out of the Southland.

Kevin England, former assistant regional manager for the chain, said he has revived his former firm, Computer Network Services, and is offering assistance to some of Inca’s former customers.

On the heels of a funding crunch, Inca shut down five Southland stores and one in Illinois on Oct. 12.

England said computer users who bought Inca’s custom-built products were “left with big computers and no one to service them. We’re here to pick up the pieces.”

He noted that customers who did not purchase an on-site maintenance agreement can contact Inca at (888) 884-INCA. In those cases, England said, the customer may have to ship the computer back to Michigan for servicing.
