Women’s soccer

Roy, a sophomore, had three shutouts last week, giving her a school-record 10 for the season. She has 16 in her career, putting her second on the school’s all-time list.

Roy, a graduate of Aliso Niguel High School, shut out San Jose State, Boise State and Idaho last week. She has six shutouts in the Anteaters’ last seven games and has allowed 12 goals all season.

THIS WEEK

Women’s soccer: The usual players produced last week--Stephanie Rigamat now has 13 goals and Nicole Bucciarelli 12 this season--but Danica Holt scored her first goal of the season in Irvine’s 2-0 victory over Idaho Sunday. The Anteaters play at San Diego State Sunday at 1 p.m.

Women’s volleyball: Irvine hosts Nevada Las Vegas Wednesday, then faces top-ranked Long Beach State Friday and 10th-ranked Pacific Saturday. The Anteaters have lost 26 consecutive matches to Long Beach and 20 consecutive to Pacific. All three matches begin at 7 p.m.

Water polo: Ryan Bailey scored six goals against Pepperdine Sunday and leads the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with 57. Irvine, ranked second in the nation, hosts Air Force Saturday and UC Santa Barbara Sunday. Both games are at Heritage Park at noon.

Cross-country: The men’s and women’s teams compete in the Big West Conference championships in Denton, Texas.

Men’s soccer: Irvine hosts UC Santa Barbara at 7 p.m. Friday and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Swimming: The Anteaters open the season at the USC Invitational Friday and Saturday.
