HONORING THE DEAD: Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society, 9550 Haskell Ave., North Hills, will honor deceased friends and relatives for the Day of the Dead by inviting participants to bring photos of friends, family members and ancestors to a program to be held at 10:45 a.m. today. BREAST HEALTH: Metropolitan Community Church, 5730 Cahuenga Blvd., North Hollywood, will host a Breast Health Luncheon and Program to educate participants on breast cancer prevention from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. MUSIC WORKSHOP: Kol Tikvah Temple, 20400 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, will present a class, “Jewish Music Workshop,” which will teach melodies and music to help make Jewish experiences special, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday and continuing for eight consecutive Tuesdays. Free to temple members, $25 for guests. The temple will also offer a class, “4,000 Years of Jewish History,” from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday and continuing for eight consecutive Wednesdays. POLKA FEST: First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 1300 E. Colorado St., Glendale, will host a Polka Fest and buffet dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Nov. 7. The cost is $16. Information: (818) 240-9000.

DEDICATION CEREMONY: St. Mel Catholic Parish, 20870 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, will hold a blessing and dedication ceremony marking the completion of the Msgr. Michael J.
