Teen Missing Since Friday Returns Home

A 13-year-old Oxnard boy returned home this weekend after his father reported him missing two days earlier, police said.
Roberto Montoya had apparently spent several days at a friend’s house, authorities said Sunday. The boy left his home in the 1300 block of Gina Drive on Friday, and authorities had canvassed his neighborhood until Sunday morning in an unsuccessful effort to locate him.
The boy’s father declined to further explain his son’s disappearance.
