Council on Aging to Hold Open House
The city and the Simi Valley Council on Aging will be holding its fifth annual Open House and Information Fair to acquaint area seniors with the types of assistance and services available to them.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at the Simi Valley Senior Citizens Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. It will include more than 40 public and private agencies, organizations and associations providing information on the kinds of services they provide.
Those services include transportation, support groups, recreation, health and social services, housing, nutrition, legal assistance, education, long-term care and volunteer opportunities.
In addition, board members from the Council on Aging will conduct tours of the Senior Center and outline the kinds of services offered by the center.
Both the tours and fair are free.
