New Center Needs Donated Equipment

Share

Donations of furniture, a fax machine, printers and big-screen televisions are being sought by South County Senior Services for a center being built at 23721 Moulton Parkway.

“We are in the middle of our capital campaign and have raised over half of the $1.4 million cost of the center,” said Libby Borgen, director of marketing and public affairs for the group.

The center will be named the Florence Sylvester Memorial Center, after Jack Sylvester donated $300,000 in memory of his late wife. His three children also have agreed to contribute.

The 8,625-square-foot center, set to open in December, will replace a smaller center on Via Iglesia.
