From Times Wire Reports
A controversial march by black youths is scheduled for Saturday in Harlem after winning a go-ahead from a federal judge. The Million Youth March, modeled on Washington’s Million Man March, was supposed to be a daylong affair stretching about 30 city blocks. But it was cut to four hours along six blocks. Organizers estimated 50,000 youths will march. Organizer Khallid Abdul Muhammad, who was banished from the Nation of Islam because of his racist rhetoric, has been criticized by civil rights groups and religious leaders.
