Police Department to Open Eastside Substation
The Police Department will open a substation next Wednesday in eastern Pasadena to provide a variety of services, including filing police reports and fingerprinting.
Mayor Chris Holden, Councilman William Paparian and Chief Bernard Melekian will preside over the 7 p.m. ceremony to open the East End Community Service Area Substation.
The substation will be open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 8 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be closed Tuesdays and Sundays.
The facility, at 2982 E. Colorado Blvd., will also provide community classes such as first aid and serve as a community meeting center, officials said.
