Postal Service driver and former policeman Edward Premo was ordered held on $3-million bond Friday in Rockville Superior Court on charges of attempted murder of three state troopers and the manufacturing of bombs.

Premo, 40, is accused of wounding the troopers in a shootout Thursday at his mobile home in Willington, where the officers had gone to investigate a vandalism complaint.

The three troopers were hospitalized for wounds that were not considered life-threatening.
