That’s the latest from Texas defensive end Aaron Humphrey, who earlier this week told a local reporter that UCLA quarterback Cade McNown “is a dead man.”

“I made the statement all in good fun,” Humphrey said of his comments, which ran in Horns Illustrated, a weekly publication that covers Texas sports. “They asked me about him during two-a-days. It was just my sense of humor. He’s up for the Heisman. I just hope we can stop him on Saturday.”
