Surfing for CPAs

The California Society of Certified Public Accountants has added a “Find a CPA” interactive service to its Web site at https://www.calcpa.org.
The service allows consumers to search for a CPA by area of specialty, niche services provided, languages spoken, area code and job title. After presenting a list of qualified candidates, the consumer can select a name and see a brief resume, along with contact information, including e-mail addresses.
The service matches others provided by rival tax preparation groups such as the National Assn. of Enrolled Agents at https://www.naea.org.
