Gotti’s Son Wins Release From Prison

A federal judge ruled in New York that John A. Gotti, who prosecutors allege has been among those running the Gambino crime family since his father was imprisoned for life, can be released from prison. U.S. District Judge Barrington Parker said he had found that defense lawyers had presented the court with a proposal containing conditions and security that would provide adequate community protection. The younger Gotti, 34, was arrested in January on extortion, fraud and other charges.
