Trevino Named VP at Sares-Regis

Paul A. Trevino has been named senior vice president of Sares-Regis Group’s multifamily investment division. He will be in charge of all existing multifamily acquisitions and institutional investment properties. Trevino was previously with Clayton Williams & Sherwood and CB Commercial Real Estate Group.

Rhonda Jurs has been appointed national sales manager for GolfGear International Inc. in Huntington Beach. She had been director of telemarketing.

Rick Genest has been named president of Eastwood Insurance Services in Fullerton. He was vice president. Judith Partridge, owner and founder, becomes chairman and chief executive.

Ken Orton and Mark N. Kaplan have joined the board of directors of Autobytel.com Inc. in Irvine, an Internet car-buying service. Orton is president and chief executive of Preview Travel Inc. Kaplan is a partner of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

John Leon has been named network development officer of Orconet in Orange, a communications and Internet service provider. Leon is also corporate information manager for Orconet’s sister company, Circuit Image Systems.

Holly Yamada has joined Oncotech Inc. as laboratory co-director. Yamada is a licensed surgical pathologist. She will oversee the development of Oncotech’s new cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics laboratories.

Terry P. Boyd has been named national account manager for General Electric Co.’s GE Lighting division in Irvine. He was most recently a market development manager.

Mary Chapman has been appointed marketing manager for Nextlink California’s Los Angeles and Orange County markets. She was previously marketing coordinator in Santa Ana headquarters.

John T. Caley has been named vice president, investment services for PM Realty Group Investment Services LLC, a subsidiary of PM Realty Group. He is responsible for investment and acquisition transaction in the western U.S., out of the Newport Beach office. Caley was formerly vice president, general partner services for CB/Koll.

Philip Martin has joined Culbertson, Adams & Associates Inc. in Aliso Viejo as vice president of environmental services. He was principal and owner of Phil Martin & Associates.

Janice Hopkins has been named vice president of marketing for Tricor Mortgage Lending, a Huntington Beach mortgage banking firm. Hopkins was marketing director for Secure Horizons and senior director of advertising and marketing for Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays.

Steven R. Mast has been appointed corporate senior vice president and chief financial officer of Newport Beach-based SM&A; Corp., effective Oct. 1. He succeeds Ron Hunn, who is retiring. Mast had been vice president and chief financial officer of Space Applications Corp., which was acquired by SM&A; Corp. in May. In addition, Sharron M. Carey is joining the proposal management company as corporate controller. She was previously with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP.

Kathleen Gordon has joined RiechesBaird Advertising in Irvine as a studio/production artist. She was previously a freelance graphic designer and special effects make-up artist.

Roger W. Johnson has been named to the board of PixTech Inc. in Santa Clara, bringing the number of directors to five. Johnson was chairman, president and chief executive of Western Digital Corp. from 1982 to 1993. He was administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration from 1993 to 1996. During that time, he was also a member of the President’s Management Council and the National Economic Council. PixTech manufactures field emission displays, a type of flat-panel display.

Curt G. Johnson has been appointed vice president-California subdivision for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. Johnson joined the Phoenix branch office in 1996 as vice president-builder/commercial services. Scott Morey has been named vice president-director of major accounts. He was formerly vice president-national marketing supervisor.

Terry Pruett has been named director of marketing at CIE America in Tustin, which supplies computer peripherals sold and marketed under the C. Itoh brand name. Prior to joining the company, he was national indirect channel/OEM marketing manager at Monarch Marking Systems in Dayton, Ohio.

Robert Donahue is the new director of marketing for the Anaheim Marriott. For the last five years, he was director of marketing at the Austin Marriott.

Gary E. Meek has been named chief financial officer of Argent Capital Corp. in Huntington Beach. Meek was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer of the retail banking unit of Home Savings of America, Irwindale. In addition, Roy L. Painter was named chief operating officer. He had been chief financial officer and chief operating officer at First Fidelity Thrift & Loan. Samuel B. Watson was appointed executive vice president, marketing. Watson most recently was chairman of Ameristar Worldwide Entertainment Corp. in Nashville.
