Pierce College

I believe the solution to the Pierce College money problem is [for it] to be turned into a not-for-profit working school-farm-zoo-science museum-park, where college students can still study animal science and agriculture while at the same time providing a perfect place for younger schoolchildren from all over the city and country to come on school field trips to see what actually happens on a farm.

As a child growing up in Iowa, I will always remember the day we went out of town to visit a distant relative’s farm. The sights, sounds and even smells were amazing to me, and I feel sorry for kids who have never had this experience.

This is our last chance for a facility like this in the Los Angeles area. Please don’t blow it.
