Symbol to Distrubute Eltron Printer Products
Eltron International in Simi Valley, which manufactures thermal label and plastic card printers, announced that Symbol Technologies of Holtsville, N.Y., will distribute Eltron’s full line of printer products.
The agreement extends Symbol’s reach into key markets such as retail, health care, education and shipping.
Eltron will supply Symbol from its line of desktop, bench top, portable label, bar code and receipt printers. Also included in the deal are Eltron’s Privilege Series plastic ID card printers and Max Secure Series secure ID printing systems.
“Eltron is uniquely well positioned to work with Symbol in providing a variety of printing solutions to the expanding Symbol customer base,” said Holly Sacks, vice president of marketing at Eltron. “Both companies are highly experienced in auto ID technologies and have similar reputations for product innovation and cost-competitiveness.”
Symbol is involved in bar code data capture and mobile computing and communications systems based on wireless local-area networking. Its products are installed at more than 30,000 customer locations worldwide and support more than 6 million Symbol scanners and hand-held computers.
Eltron offers bar code label and receipt printers, secure ID printing systems, integrated bar code verified printing systems, plastic card printers, pressure-sensitive labels and tags and related accessories.
