Principal Reassigned Pending Investigation
Marvin Avenue School Principal Anna McLinn has been temporarily reassigned to the Los Angeles Unified School District’s performing arts office pending completion of an investigation into financial irregularities at the Mid-City campus.
The probe is attempting to determine whether the irregularities found in a series of audits involved careless record-keeping or theft of funds.
District General Counsel Richard K. Mason said he anticipated a decision within 30 days.
Officials at the school have conceded that record-keeping mistakes were made by an office manager who has since been demoted, but they denied that any school district funds were lost.
