Student Actors to Present ‘Geniuses’
Drama students at Chapman University will present “Geniuses,” a comedy by Jonathan Reynolds about the movie industry, at Waltmar Theatre this week.
Award-winning Chapman student Armand Rainville directs the show, set in a jungle shack in the Philippines, where an odd bunch is trying to shoot a war movie.
Reynolds wrote the screenplay for “Apocalypse Now” and based this play on experiences he had on that set.
The play opens today at 8 p.m. at the theater on campus, 333 N. Glassell St. The show runs nightly through Saturday, with a 4 p.m. matinee Sunday.
General admission is $8, students and seniors $6.
