Thousands to Rally for Cancer Research

Thousands of cancer survivors, patients and their loved ones are gathering this weekend, trying to draw more attention to a disease that kills more than half a million a year. The planned highlight was a celebrity-studded rally today on the National Mall, a mix of celebration, remembrance and a call for more research money as the cancer coalition tries to adapt a strategy that worked well for AIDS activists.
