From Times Wire Reports

Congress’ decision to release the videotape of President Clinton’s grand jury testimony may have backfired, a poll shows. The survey found that rather than further damage Clinton, as Republicans had hoped, the airing of the president’s testimony in the White House sex scandal may have hurt Congress instead. The poll found that the Republican-led Congress’ approval rating dropped to 54% from 63% since the tape ran on national television last Monday, while the Democratic president’s approval rating remained strong, at more than 60%.
