‘Rush Hour’s’ in No Hurry to Slack Off

“Rush Hour” ruled the box office for the second week in a row, taking in $21.2 million, while Robert De Niro’s action film “Ronin” captured second place in its first week in release with $12.7 million. “Urban Legend” debuted in third place with $10.5 million.

“Ronin” is one of the better openings for a De Niro film. In 1995, “Casino” debuted at $14.5 million, while “Copland” grossed $13.5 million on its maiden weekend in 1997.
