Asian Crisis Spurs Aid to UC Students

Share

With the ongoing financial crisis in Asia, several Cal State Fullerton students are receiving financial assistance.

Officials designed the Assn. of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Student Assistance Awards Program to support students affected by the economic crises in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Funding for the program comes from members of the US-ASEAN Business Council through a grant from NAFSA: Assn. of International Educators.

Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.2 grade point average, work on campus and not receive assistance from any federally funded program.
